From the 8th until the 11th of July 2021, the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Programme conducted an online training course on judicial methodology in civil law for the National Judges College in Beijing. 22 high-qualified young judges from all over the country, designated for a master programme at the City University of Hongkong, participated and were introduced to the German methodology on the application of law. Under the guidance of Mr. Norbert Feige, legal advisor for the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Programme, the participants practiced the application of the techniques on practical cases under Chinese civil law.
In cooperation with the National Judges College, the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Programme organizes several courses on judicial methodology a year. The aim of these courses is to promote a consistent and clear application of the law by the judiciary, thereby improving both the efficiency of Chinese courts and legal certainty for citizens.
