From December 11th to 17th 2016, six German lawyers participated in the fourth Sino-German exchange for lawyers in Kunming. The professional focus was on intellectual property law. By giving lectures and having discussions, the participants worked out the similarities and differences of both legal systems. The focus was particularly on patent and trademark law, competition law and procedural aspects of intellectual property law. The professional exchange was rounded off by joint visits of the Yunnan High People’s Court and a specialized intellectual property law firm. At the end of the exchange the experts participated in a symposium where the results were presented and discussed in a panel discussion with an audience of 40 participants.
