From the 18th until the 22nd of March 2019 a training course on judicial methodology in Administrative law took place at the National Judges College in Beijing. Around 154 Chinese judges from all over the country participated and were introduced to the German methodology on the application of law. Under the guidance of Mr. Raphael Murmann-Suchan, presiding judge at the Administrative Tribunal of Cologne (Germany), the participants practiced the application of the techniques on practical cases under Chinese Administrative law.
In cooperation with the National Judges College, the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Programme organizes several courses on judicial methodology a year. The aim of these courses is to promote a consistent and clear application of the law by the judiciary, thereby improving both the efficiency of Chinese courts and legal certainty for citizens.
