From the 24th until the 28th of April 2023 a training course on judicial methodology in civil law took place at the National Judges College in Beijing. Around 155 Chinese judges from all over the country participated and were introduced to the German methodology on the application of law. Under the guidance of Dr. Marco Haase, director of the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Program, the participants practiced the application of the techniques on practical cases under Chinese civil law.
In cooperation with the National Judges College, the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Program organizes several courses on judicial methodology a year. The aim of these courses is to promote a consistent and clear application of the law by the judiciary, thereby improving both the efficiency of Chinese courts and legal certainty for citizens.
