From the 26th to the 30th of November 2018 around 140 Chinese judges from all over China attended a five day training course on German judicial methodology in Chinese Intellectual Property Law. The course was organized by the Sino-German Legal Cooperation Programme in cooperation with the National Judges College. Prof. Dr. Evelyn Henning, judge at the Regional Court of Cologne (Germany), introduced the participants to the German methodology on the application of law. Under her guidance the participants practiced the application of the techniques in Chinese IP-Law on fictional cases. The Sino-German Legal Cooperation Programme courses on judicial methodology organized in cooperation with the National Judges College aim to foster a consistent application of the law by the judiciary, thereby improving both the efficiency of Chinese courts and legal certainty for citizens.
