On October 19th, the third Online Alumni Salon of the German-Chinese exchange of judges took place. Five judges from State Bavaria, Germany and six judges from the Chinese provinces Hainan, Yunnan and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region participated.
At the beginning of the event, Mrs. Shen Hongyu, deputy head of the 4. civil chamber of the Supreme People’s Court welcomed all Chinese and German participants. From the German side, Mr. Dr. Hans-Joachim Heßler, President of the Supreme Court State Bavaria took over the greeting.
Moderated by Mr. Norbert Feige from GIZ, the participants had a lively exchange on the impact and challenges of the global epidemic on the judicial sphere in China and Germany, the working time patterns of the German courts and the differences between the two countries with regard to arbitration.
