From 15 to 22 July 2017 the 6th Sino-German exchange for lawyers on the topic of criminal procedural law took place in the city of Chifeng in Inner Mongolia. Six Chinese and six German experts on criminal procedural law discussed in moderated workshops the current criminal law issues, in particular procedural tactics, the deal and the psychologist`s role in a criminal procedure. For the German delegation participants the possibility of a live online observation of a criminal case drew great interest. They could experience such online observation during the workshop.
Through visits to the Superior People`s Court of Inner Mongolia and a specialized law firm on criminal law a deeper insight into the Chinese criminal procedural practice was gained. This supported the process of building up a more trustful relationship between the German and the Chinese participants. They could not only discuss sensitive professional topics but also exchange common experiences in their daily working live. This way the basis of a professional and friendly relationship was built.
